| In anticipation of the new Allocate and Claim System (ACS) launch on November 15, 2002, we are providing an ACS test application to all back office member firm staff. To access ACS (test), sign into the CME Portal, and under the Firm QA section, select the Front End Clearing 2 link and sign in using your current 3270 user id and password. If you do not have Firms QA or cannot access ACS, Please e-mail foweimri@cme.com to obtain access. Please note the ACS application, which will replace existing 3270-based GUS, will only be accessible through the CME Portal via the Internet. Therefore, all current 3270 GUS users are encouraged to become familiar with the new ACS application as soon as possible. As a reminder, with the launch of ACS, we will eliminate all 80 byte GUSR files. This will require firms to utilize the current GUS-MQM messages for bookkeeping purposes. The specific message codes, in positions 1-3 of the TREX record are: TRX GCC record -- Loads to the carrying firms bookkeeping system when a trade is claimed TRX GCA record -- The offset record that loads to the executing firms bookkeeping system when a trade is accepted by the designated carrying firm. Firms can now receive a real time transmission of GUS-API test messages from activity done in the test ACS application. If you have any questions about FEC, please call Farris Oweimrin at 312-648-4780 or e-mail at foweimri@cme.com. If you need help with portal access, call Mahmoud Ajamia at 312-634-1595 or e-mail majamia@cme.com or Stacy Jurek at 312-338-2088 or e-mail at sjurek@cme.com. Thank you! |
